Hauling the big fish over the rail: the everyday analogy for Tsuri Goshi
Hauling the big fish over the rail

Mechanic

Tori reaches over or under uke's arm and grabs the belt like a handle, hauls uke up onto the hip with that grip ('tsuri' means fishing) and rotates them over the hip to the mat.

Analogy

A fisherman has hooked a huge fish and heaves it up out of the water on a taut line. At the top of the pull the fish swings up and over the boat's rail, pivoting on the gunwale and flopping down onto the deck on the other side.

Why it maps

The fishing line is the belt grip (a single handle doing all the lifting) and the boat rail is tori's hip: hoist the load up on the handle, let it pivot over the rail, and it lands on the far side.
